FAQ

Why is waxing better than shaving?

The area will remain smooth and completely hair-free for up to a month and hair will weaken over time. After shaving, the hair will grow back in a matter of days and maybe fairly coarse and itchy.

Should I shave the hair down?

Waxing will be more comfortable if the hair is less than 3mm long.

Does hair take longer to grow after waxing?

Hair grows in different stages; it also varies from one person to another. It could take 2-4 weeks. However, if you just started waxing, it will take a few treatments for the hair to start growing evenly.

How often should waxing be done?

To maintain a clean and sexy feel, I recommend a waxing session every 4 weeks until you notice that your hair is not growing as quickly as before.

Does waxing hurt?

For the first time, it can be painful. Take a couple of painkillers an hour before your wax, and don’t do it when you are on or about to begin your menstrual cycle because your skin is at its most sensitive.

What is threading?

Threading is ancient hair removal and eyebrow shaping techniques originating from Asia. It is fast becoming the celebrities preferred method of perfect shaping eyebrows.

What are the benefits of threading?

Unlike waxing, threading does not damage the top layer of the skin. Regrowth is finer, softer and smoother. Threading is a precise process which provides a more defined shape than waxing.

How long does Gelish last?

GELISH will last until you soak it off. GELISH does not peel, chip or fade, it performs like a GEL.

Does Gelish cause any chemical damage to the natural nail?

This system uses only a pH balancing agent to stabilize the moisture level of the nail. Then the FOUNDATION Gel has adhesive properties that attract to the keratin in the natural nail, not causing any depletion, only acting like a 2 sided tape to adhere the STRUCTURE or the GELISH Gel Polish to the nail itself.

How do you remove Gelish?

This product will soak off in 10 – 15 minutes.

Will my natural nails continue to grow under the gel?

Yes, Gel nails can actually improve the health of your natural nails by protecting them from biting, picking, excess moisture and other elements that can weaken or damage them.

I heard that gel nail lamps emit dangerous UV waves This is not true and involves misinformation. The UV waves found in tanning beds are different wavelengths than the type found in a gel nail UV lamp. Your hands are likely to be exposed to more UV light while driving your car than they will receive from UV gel nail services.

Do eyelash extensions make my own lashes fall out?

No, eyelash extensions will not make your own natural lashes fall out. Your own eyelashes have its own growth cycle and will fall out naturally. You lose on average 3-5 lashes a day. It’s advisable not to pick, pull or rub your lashes as this will cause your lashes to fall out prematurely. You should not attempt to remove lash extensions by yourself, or with any product. The procedure requires lash extensions to be professionally removed.

Can I still wear eye makeup?
You can still wear eye makeup but it is important not to use any oil-based makeup. The properties in oil-based products will loosen the bonding of the eyelashes. It is also best to avoid creams and makeup removers which contain oil as these will cause the eyelash extensions to fall off your natural lashes.

Can I wear mascara?
You can wear mascara but avoid wearing mascara for the first week and do not use waterproof mascara as the properties in waterproof mascara will break down the bonding glue. Ideally mascara should be used on the ends of the eyelash.

Can I curl or perm eyelash extensions?
To maintain your eyelash extensions avoid curling, perming and tinting your lashes.

How long do they last?
The average eyelash cycle lasts between 4-6 weeks however, factors such as lifestyle and general aftercare will affect how long the lashes last, and so regular retouches are recommended to keep your eyes looking stunning.

What are in-fills, why do I need them and how often do I need them?
Naturally, your lashes will fall out and new eyelashes will grow to replace the ones that have fallen out. To maintain beautiful long lashes infills will be needed to replace the lost lashes.

Do I have to get a full set of eyelash extensions?
A full set of eyelash extensions is recommended for a fuller glamorous effect although half sets are available for a more natural eyelash effect.

Are the eyelash extensions glued to my skin?
The eyelash extensions are not glued onto the skin, only on your natural lash.

Is the eyelash glue and glue remover safe?
I only use quality approved products. A patch test is needed 48 hours previous to treatment.

Is lash and brow tinting dangerous?

It is important to know what each salon uses before you go in for a treatment. I only use the best and safest and approved products out there. Tinting is safe for all customers—men, women, and even expecting mum.
